Event Details

Two days that will inspire you to think differently and unlock your creative potential.

11 & 12 May 2011

The Edge mixes a rising generation of creative talent with the most successful of its high-achievers, coming together in an unusually direct way. On 11 & 12 May 2011 our focus will be all about love or money… why? Commonly, a love for the craft has drawn more designers into their jobs than a desire to make a truckload of money. But why should money be such a dirty word?

The Edge is for creative people who want more; for people who have a hunger to do better work and to get better rewards for it. But how can you earn more - for yourself, your agency and clients too, whilst maintaining a love for the job you chose to do?

Day One

Seminars and workshops that delve into the detail of the stuff they didn’t teach you at art college. You’ll be in small groups, listening, learning and taking part. We’ll be drawing talent from the pool of the DBA’s best speakers and educators and you’ll be able to choose who you’ll be with and what you’ll learn about (from survival skills in the creative jungle to behavioural economics; from the journey of an idea to understanding when enough is really enough).

Day Two

Day two is unique. We’ve booked a huge space and we’ll be stuffing it with talent and fast paced activity. We mix things up in ways that no one else does. You’ll be in large groups, listening to speakers who will inspire; in teams, engaged in activity that will challenge your perceptions; and in intimate groups for lunch with your design heroes. You’ll be exhausted but buzzing, ready for the swanky, aftershow party.
